South Africa delegation made up of 26 players and 15 officials for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations Group A qualifying match against Super Eagles on Wednesday will arrive the country today and will fly straight to Uyo, venue of the match.
Nigeria must win the match for it to book a spot at the 2015 tournament in Equatorial Guinea. South Africa has qualified for the tournament after amassing 11 points with a 2-1 defeat of Sudan on Saturday in Durban.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said in a statement on Sunday that although the South Africa Football Association does not have the permit to land its chartered aircraft at the Ibom International Airport, the NFF was working round the clock to ensure permit is granted for its plane before it departs Johannesburg at 1pm on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has picked Rajindraparsad Seechurn of Mauritius as Referee for the match.
Seechurn will be assisted by countrymen, Balkrishna Bootun as Assistant Referee 1, Vivian Vally as Assistant Referee 2 and Parmendra Nunkoo as Reserve Referee.
To underscore the importance of the match, CAF has appointed Cameroonian Abel Mbengue as Security Officer, to assist the Match Commissioner, Laryea Louis from Ghana.
The match will start at 5pm Nigeria time.
