HAVING successfully undergone a kidney transplant in India, veteran music producer, Babatunde Okungbowa, aka OJB, has set up a kidney foundation in the country.
According to him, the foundation will be called OJB Foundation and will majorly act as a dialysis centre. “We are trying to set up one or more dialysis centres that patients will use at highly affordable cost. To this end we are discussing with partners who will make this happen. We are about to start the programme. We don’t just want to be begging for funds.”
The respected producer, who is currently working on another album, further disclosed that the project would start with the launch of a “Save 20 campaign”, while trying to seek the support of the private sector, government and non-governmental organizations. [The Nation]
