NFF confirms three Bundesliga clubs for Flying Eagles

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has concluded ar­rangement for the Flying Eagles to play three test matches against the U-23 teams of German Bundes­liga clubs Hoffenheim, Nurnberg and Freiburg, officials have announced.

According to the NFF site, the Nigeria U-20 team will tackle Hoffen­heim U-23 on May 12 in Hoffenheim with kick-off time put at 3pm local time, which is 4pm Nigerian time.

Three days later they tackle the U-23 team of Nurnberg at their training ground in SudwestPark in Nurnberg by 4.30pm.

The matches it was gathered would afford the national team handlers an opportunity of deciding the final list of 21 players that will fly Nigeria’s flag in New Zealand as well as meet the deadline for the submission to FIFA with deadline fixed for May 15.

Their final test match was slated for Freiburg against the U23 team of Freiburg on May 19 by 2.30pm.

The team is due to fly out to New Zealand via Australia from Germany on May 23.

Nigeria will face five-time champions Brazil , Hungary and Korea DPR in Group E of the pre­liminary round of the 2015 Fifa World Youth Champi­onship in New Zealand.

New Zealand was zoned in Group A against Myan­mar, Ukraine and the Unit­ed States of America.

Ghana would face a stiff challenge in Group B hav­ing been zoned against Argentina, Austria and Panama.
