Former Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi has blasted Ben Murray-Bruce, the senator representing Bayelsa East Constituency over comments he made concerning the ‘N80million Dinner’ Amaechi hosted as governor.
Amaechi who is the Minister of Transportation took to Twitter to share his thoughts on Murray-Bruce’s tweet. “A coward who is not bold enough to name the minister that he alleged criminally spent N80m on dinner is unfit to sit in our senate chambers,” Amaechi wrote on his Twitter account.
Adding that: ” I will not respond to innuendos. Be courageous, name the minister. We know you talk here and do ‘siddon’ look where you are elected to talk”
It would be recalled that incumbent Rivers governor, Nyesom Wike, accused Amaechi’s administration of spending N82million to host a dinner in honour of Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka.
Taking a dig at Amaechi and President Muhammadu Buhari, Murray-Bruce wrote: “Your own minister spent ₦80 million on a one-day dinner, yet it is your citizens you accuse of being criminals”tweet
