At the rally, the party flag was handed over to Dakuku Peterside as the governorship candidate of the party in Rivers State. The APC Chairman John Oyegun also took the opportunity to welcome Emmanuel Oma (former Commissioner for Works) and Lebor Kuku, as well as 1,000 PDP supporters from Ahoada West local government, to the APC.

In his remarks, Buhari urged Nigerians to collect their permanent voter cards, and wait patiently on Election Day to vote and defend their votes.
