Finally, Buhari meets parents of abducted Chibok girls

Six hundred (600) days after their children went missing, parents of over 200 Chibok schoolgirls abducted in Borno, northeast of Nigeria have finally met with Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari.

The parents who went against all odds to express their grievance marched through Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Thursday morning with banners to communicated their predicament and the seemingly slow response of the government to their plight.

It would be recalled that Islamist sect, Boko Haram, kidnapped the girls 600 days ago from their school in Borno.

The whereabout of the girls remain largely unknown although there are been claims by Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau that some of the girls have been sold into marriage.

The fight to completely finish off Boko Haram is ongoing, talks about the return of the girls has however been a worry.
