Davido, Flavour and Tiwa Savage shines at MTV Africa Awards

Nigeria’s top singers, Davido, Flavour, Tiwa Savage and cinematographer, Clarence Peters shone last night, having emerged winners at the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA), which was held at the massive Durban International Convention Centre, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Among all the Nigerian entertainers who made the MAMA’s Awards nomination list, only these four were able to top their categories, with Davido coming out big as a double winner.

Davido, who is only 21 years of age, edged out others in his category to grab the ‘Best Male Act’ and doubled his win  as the  ‘Artiste of the Year’ . He won his categories by chart toppers including Mafikizolo, PSquare, Uhuru and Mi Casa.

Some other Nigerians artistes who made the nominations list but lost out are, P-Square, Chidinma, WizKid, Tuface, Phyno, Olamide, Burna Boy among others.

Other winners of the prestigious awards are, Mafikizolo ft. Uhuru, winning the ‘Song of the Year’ with their song ‘Khona’ , Sakodie won the ‘ Best Hip Hop’ category, Lupita Nyong’o  was ‘ Personality of the Year’  …See link to get who wins what in the different categories
