According to unconfirmed report, an unidentified elderly woman and her grandchild drowned at neighbouring Agbarho community just as two other children were saved from being swept away by flood at Effurun.
Following the downpour that lasted several hours in many areas including Agbarho, Warri metropolis and Aladja, commercial motorists could not go out for their daily business until later part of the day.
Also, put out of business by the heavy rain were petty traders whose stores were pulled down by the State Environmental Sanitation Task Force and had been operating their businesses in open sheds.

Meanwhile, scores of traders, who lost their shops to the demolition by the sanitation team have appealed to the state government to assist them via payment of compensation for their wares destroyed during the exercise.
