Popular hit maker Kingsley Elikpo, who goes by the stage name DJ Zeez has given up Moniker DJ Zeez. The suave music star, known for his catchy ‘lingos’ like Fokasibe, Same-ni, Bobbee, among others, made this known on Thursday.
The former Disc jockey, producer and song writer, who gained street recognition as far back as 2005 with Same-ni, revealed his plans to rebrand and take his music to the next level. The singer, who wants to be known as ‘Zeez’ by colleagues and fans, disclosed that it is part of his rebranding for 2014.
He said that though he had been working on a lot of things in the last few years, like floating his own Entertainment Company/Record Label ‘Vanilla Villa Entertainment,’ under which he released Take It Easy and Fido Dido among other club bangers, this year, he is poised to relaunch his career back to a place at the top of the ladder.
“My birthday is here. I will celebrate, but nothing elaborate. I am dropping my new single Sankolo on that same day. This year, I don’t have time for play at all. It’s going to be work, work, and work. This is a whole lot; I plan to do this year. I have taking the first step, the rest will come. I don’t want to talk about it. I just want my fans to see them as I unveil them, “enthused Zeez.tweet
